CONNECTICUT YANKEE and Technology -- (potential) SPOILERS

Hank Morgan brings many nineteenth-century devices back in time to Arthurian England. What is the novel saying about technology? Does it speak to us today about our twenty-first century technologies?

The use of technologies gives a sort of comparison between both ways of life, shows us how far we've actually come, highlights advances made, it also shows how much simpler life is in this century.

I think here we also see the great impacts, both positive and negative, that technology has on the individual.

Thanks, thinker. Does the novel show any ways that Arthurian England is better off without newer technology?

But generally speaking, technologies invite avenues by which persons can gain a greater knowledge and insight into various aspects of life, it causes them to "think for themselves" and this results in leaders losing some control.
