I had to tackle that guy for class long ago. Never did enjoy him, too depressing. At least Hemingway had some nice imagery.

I'm going to try to switch classes. I've always heard that he was "difficult". My daughter had to read him this year, as a junior in high school. I said "oh, he's difficult" and she said "NO HE'S NOT!!!" Hard to know if that was just her usual opposition to anything I might say or if it was the truth. I did look the book over a bit and it didn't seem that bad so I thought I'd give it a go. There must be something offered that I might actually enjoy! Thanks for the advice, it is helpful.
