Love stories

I wonder if we could use a thread about the love stories developed in the novel? Dinah herself has two of them, but I realize we might even talk about Jacob and each of his wives as a kind of "love story" couldn't we? Of course, his relationships with Rachel and Leah anyway.

I think the carpenter is my particular favorite! Their relationship seems full of such a surprising, easy, generous intimacy.

But it does seem difficult to think of the man-woman relationships that aren't monogamous as "love" in the sense we understand it.
