Talk about Genres & Ideas
The Paranormal book club reads The Iron Hunt by Marjorie M. Liu.
By day, her tattoos are her armor. By night, they unwind from her body to take on forms of their own. Demons of the flesh, turned into flesh. This is the only family demon hunter Maxine Kiss has ever known. The only way to live-and the very way she'll die. For one day, her demons will abandon her for her daughter to assure their own survival-leaving Maxine helpless against her enemies.
The Crime book club takes a roadtrip this month with Patricia Highsmith's Talented Mr. Ripley and John Lange's Zero Cool.
The Mystery book club discusses Lisa Unger's Black Out.
On the surface, Annie Powers’s life in a wealthy Floridian suburb is happy and idyllic. But the bubble surrounding Annie is pricked when she senses that the demons of her past have resurfaced and, to her horror, are now creeping up on her.
The Romance book club reads Not Another Bad Date by Rachel Gibson.
After a string of dating disasters, can Adele Harris find love with the one that got away?
The Literature by Women book club reads Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte.
Written when women—and workers generally—had few rights in England, Agnes Grey exposes the brutal inequities of the rigid class system in mid-nineteenth century Britain.
And be sure to visit Ande's Book Explorers board and Ilana's Literature and Life board for regular posts about the reading life.
