Please join Literature by Women in November as we read Mary Doria Russell's debut novel The Sparrow. This was once pitched to me as "Jesuits in space" - I've been waiting for an opportunity to read it and see if I agree. (And compare to A Canticle for Liebowitz, another SF/dystopic novel centering on a Jesuit-like monastery devoted to the memory of a mysterious engineer.)

I read and knit and dance. Compulsively feel yarn. Consume books. Darn tights. Drink too much caffiene. All that good stuff.
