Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

[ Edited ]

The Other Woman

I am so happy to announce our October feature The Other Woman   by the fabulous author/journalist all around fantabulous Hank Phillipi Ryan. Those of you who were around last summer when General Fiction read and chatted about Hank’s debut novel Prime Time (Charlotte McNally Series #1)   will remember what a fantastic guest she was, always around to give an answer, fill in a blank and just hang around with us, well she’s back with her new debut to her new Jane Ryland series The Other Woman which we will be reading for the month of October.

So practice your Boston accent and dress accordingly for the autumn weather in New England because you don’t want to miss a beat of this read.

Check out the General Fiction forum thread for the reading schedule and buy the book and get ready for a wonderful month of camaraderie, fun, mayhem and murder.

   —Karin Slaughter

"Speed-of-light pace. Riveting suspense. Disgraced reporter Jane Ryland exposes lies, secrets, and treachery in a thriller hot as tomorrow's headlines. A breakout book with memorable characters and a compassionate understanding of love, loss, and lust for power."
   —Carolyn Hart

RT Rating RT Reviews

As the intrigue unfolds, tension mounts in this outstanding start to Ryan’s new series. Her expertise in the fields of politics and journalism shines in this gripping novel of greed, jealousy, familial angst and political machinations. Several women appear on Jane’s radar that overlap the two investigations and complicate her identification of the other woman.
