Looking for an easy way to stay up to date with announcements about the book clubs? Starting today, you can subscribe to the Announcements board and get an email every time we make an announcement about the next month’s schedule, special news on features like First Look, important updates to the community, and more.
Some of you know all about how subscriptions work, but if you’ve never used this feature before it’s a great way to stay up to date with discussions you're following.
To subscribe:
Be signed in
From the Announcements board (at the main board level), click Board Options
In the drop-down menu, click Add This Board To My Subscriptions
Confirm that you want to do this
Note: Unlike other parts of the book clubs site, you’re subscribing to the whole board here, not a specific message or thread. That means that you'll get an email every time we post a new comment, whether it's a reply (or update) to an existing thread, or a new topic altogether.
Don't fear, we're going to limit our posting to important news and announcements -- so we won't add that much to your inbox. We're also making this board a read-only area so that individual replies and questions don't trigger emails. You can always PM us with queries, or post them in the Help board for a public response.
And remember that our default settings send subscription emails as a daily digest (in the morning in the East). If you get your other subscription updates this way, the Announcements update will be included with them. If you've customized your subscriptions settings to get updates more -- or less -- often, this subscription will follow those settings.
To customize your subscriptions:
Be signed in
Click My Profile
Click the Subscriptions & Bookmarks tab
Choose how frequently and in what form your email updates are sent
Click Save Changes
You can change your subscriptions settings at any time by following the instructions above. And you can remove an individual subscription from the Subscriptions & Bookmarks page at any time.
