Thanks so very much for joining us! I think a few of us are getting hooked on trying to keep up with your novels--they are wonderfully intricate and disorienting stuff, no matter how wildly different one is from the next.

Any word on when the new one will show up on the shelves?

Thank you, to all of you. It's really an honor to be asked to do these.

My next book... It's due at the publishers in March, so it will probably come out in 2009 sometime. It's set in contemporary Brooklyn and it's about an older man, a great lover of music, who falls in love with a young woman, an up-and-coming pop singer. Seems to be shaping up as a black comedy-romance?

I'm working on an adaptation of someone else's novel for a screenplay - we hope to start shooting in the spring.
