I haven't seen it yet but I saw the short film that it's based on (by the same director - I think what happened is he made the short and some studio or producer loved it and gave him the money to make a full feature) and even that is one of the most unique - and plausible - scifi concepts of the "arrival" type that I've seen in a while.

I think Legion is going to be great... though fighting angels (physically).... it's kinda weird... i think it might be just awesome. Anyway... I saw that avatar trailer... is that like the avatar (the last airbender) or is this one just something completely different just with the same name?.... Weird cause the people are like blue... and air crafts... cool too, but.. weird haha.. I've never seen this trailer before but i look forward to watching that movie anyways.. it looks entertaining.

"Avatar" is the newest sci-fi film from James Cameron, the director who gave us "Titanic", "Aliens" and "Terminator 2." It's an original screenplay... not based on any book. It takes place on an alien planet called Pandora where the native humanoid population are blue-ish and breathe methane air that's poisonous to humans.
Cameron waited over 10 years to get this movie into production. He didn't want to start until the CGI technology was up to his vision. He's very cutting edge; he designed new lenses for the 3-D production.
Like George Lucas, he's a man way ahead of the pack. He feels strongly that this 3-D film will break new frontiers in American film making... just as "Star Wars" and "Jurasic Park" did in the 70s and 80s.
I can't wait till December when "Avatar" will hit the theaters.

Indeed you are confusing
Avatar
http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi2804482585/
Which is a newish story. It was a comic about 5 to 6 years ago, slightly different, however the same creature art.
With
The Last Airbender
http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi4008247833/
Which is based on the anime
Avatar: the last Airbender
Avatar The Last Airbender - Book 1, Vol. 1 - Water
(sigh) It will be great one day when the add product actually works again.
