Ok I confess, I love Terry Gilliam moves but this one... well it's either a penticle achivement or a really bad acid trip. Can't wait to see it.

Got to see ZombieLand. Enjoyed it.
Want to see Pandorum, but something tells me it will have to be on DVD.
Also Paranormal Activity and Vampire's Assistant, New Moon (though only read first book on Twilight series--couldn't get through that book), and Christmas Carol. I am sure there's more.

I wasn't sure if I would like Zombieland and I loved it. It was so funny and just downright entertaining. Glad you liked it.

I finally saw the Ricky Gervais movie Invention of Lying. Very funny stuff. Very high concept like Groundhog Day and it has a great cast: Gervais, Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe, Ed Norton, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Louis CK, Jonah Hill, Christopher Guest.

I'm especially looking forward to Percy Jackson, myself. If nothing else, perhaps it will increase the interest in classical learning and young people reading Greek and Roman mythology again.
I'm pretty excited for "Avatar" - even if it's terrible, it's going to cause a stir.

I would say that I have been looking forward with much trepidation about this movie since I first heard the title they were using. (sigh) Looks like though someone decided to combine the plots of the original movie with the plots out of the video games God of War and Titan Quest. Any opinions?

Apart from my guilty-pleasure interest in New Moon, there weren't really any films I was looking forward to this winter until I heard a piece on NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday where they interviewed Wes Anderson about The Fantastic Mr. Fox.
I'm kind of looking forward to Sherlock Holmes, but only because I like the actors in it. It looks like a big loud mess, and I'm still unconvinced that Guy Ritchie has sufficiently recovered his directorial mojo since splitting from Madonna. ![]()

Ooh! Thanks for the heads-up! I admit, I have an irrational attachment to the Harry Hamlin stop-action animation version, so I may be hard to please. But it looks pretty awesome in the preview.
