A movie that I am looking forward to but it's up to a studio to give the O.K. is:
Napolean Dynamite 2

Ah from what I understand due to the fatality of one of the creative minds behind it and a cast death as well. The remaining creative forces behind the movie opted not to touch the material again.
Though Hollywood will sequil and remake anything if you give them enough time.

The full length trailer. Which my hubby actually watched 10 times in a row after it went up.

I know its still "in the works" but I'm actually very excited about The Lost Symbol and how Hollywood is adapting the book for the big screen, I think I'm even bordering on being fanatic as I even imagine casting the movie in my head...
Tom Hanks is- ofcourse, going to play the lead role but I would imagine Morgan Freeman as Warren, Patrick Stewart as Peter, Diane Lane as Katherine and Vigo Mortensen as Malak'ah?...hhmmm...

Hm... I've heard about The Hunger Games being made into a movie. Also, I've been watching over Maggie Stiefvater's (author of the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy) online blog, and recently read that the movie rights to Shiver and Linger were bought. I'm super excited for this movie to come out. I was absolutely intrugued by the first two books in this trilogy and I can't wait to see how it will play out on the big screen! Finally, I've been waiting a long time for the rumored Maximum Ride movie to come out, but there's no telling how long that will take.
I am also SUPER excited for Beastly, which is coming out this summer!! ![]()

... but no. It opens in limited release 3/11 (tomorrow) and then starts expanding.
Yet again I am reminded that Iowans aren't even remotely thought of in limited releases (even when the film is about us, like Cedar Rapids which wasn't even shot in IA for what are, IMO, bogus reasons). So I went to Focus Features web page with listed all the current and future release dates/locations for Jane Eyre.
NOT A SINGLE ONE IS LISTED FOR IOWA. Not even a listing for a theatre in the Quad Cities on the Illinois side which is only 45 min-1hr from me - the closest theatre is in Chicago. I understand that this list is not complete which is why I went to Marcus Theaters website (Marcus owns the majority of screens in my area) and Jane Eyre isn't even on their site when I do a search let alone on the "Coming Soon" page.
Grrrrrrr. It looks like I will have to content myself with the book and the 2006 miniseries for next two months. ![]()
I read and knit and dance. Compulsively feel yarn. Consume books. Darn tights. Drink too much caffiene. All that good stuff.

Ah I live in a major area in VA and still most movies never come out in our theatres. Some only go to LA, NY, and CH. It sucks!![]()

And then people complain that the movie doesn't make any money...
I blame the distributors/conglomerates.
