Who listens to death metal or hardcore rock?

Hello. I was just here wondering if anybody like the same type of music that i did. Obviously there has to be at least one person in the world that actual likes it. 

Does anybody listen to death metal or rock music?

Yes I listen to some metal here and there, though not a lot of death metal in particular.  I like Entombed, and some of their earlier stuff is considered death metal.  And I like some black metal bands like Peste Noir, wrnlrd, and Lurker of Chalice.  And some stuff that is kind of on the border like Wolves in the Throne Room.  I don't really listen to much hardcore though I do like Botch.

I am also a fan of metal, although I listen to nearly everything.  In fact, the only genre of music that I don't listen to is country.  Metal, in its many forms (how many sub-genres are there??), has always been one of my favorites.  Since I like so many groups from so many of the different subgenres, I will just put down some of my favorite groups.  Some are a little older, some are new, and most of them fall somewhere in between.  German metal groups are some of my favorite!

Korn, Metallica, Rammstein, Helloween, Sepultura (I lived for a few years in their home town of Minas Gerais), Eisbrecher, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Accept, Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Megadeth, Pantera, and many, many more. 

I really like having some good "thrash" going on while I am sweating it up in the gym!!!

Check out a Norweigen band called Gorgoroth,they're pretty freaky! I listen to some,Motorhead,Gorgoroth,Skyfire,etc.

That's actually somewhat controvercial!

Encyclopadium Metallum, the huge metal encyclopedia at metal-archives.com, recognizes the following main genres of metal:  Black ~ Death ~ Doom ~ Electronic ~ Folk/Viking ~ Gothic ~ Heavy/Traditional ~ Orchestral/Symphonic ~ Power ~ Progressive ~ Speed/Thrash

I took a look at the wiki entry, and I guess I mostly like the 'glam/hair' and 'progressive' types, although I do like Black Sabbath, which is apparently the origin of 'doom'.  But I mostly like metal bands that fall into more of a pop-type category, I guess.  Bands like Kiss, Def Leppard, Quiet Riot, Scorpions, Poison, etc.  And of course, Steppenwolf coined the term 'heavy metal'.

Yeah most doom bands trace the origin of that sound back to Black Sabbath but also most of the current ones don't sound much like Sabbath.  Or rather they sound like a much, much slower version of Sabbath.

I usually just stick to rock music, alternative, metal, and etc...

I listen to more dimmu borgir, indian fall, zyklon, cradle of filth, siouxie and the banshees, the bauhuas, and etc.

I heard the new August Burns Red CD is very good. Its a mix between Metal/Hardcore. Not your oldschool metal either..

Only some, as far as death metal goes: Opeth, Bloodbath ... obviously I haven't delved very deep yet. But, as far as other metals, there's a pretty generous handful of bands I like.

I do!! I love metal and classic rock. Although lately I've been hooked on Otep and Stone Temple Pilots for the time being.
