Welcome from the Moderator

Hello everyone!

My name is Basia, and I'll be the moderator of this book group. This is my first time "moderating" anything, so I'm very excited.
I work for Barnes&Noble in the Marketing department, and volunteered to participate in our book club program simply because I thought it would be fun, and because I love reading.
I live in Brooklyn with my husband, three year old son, and two dogs. I used to ride horses in high school - my best friend and her mom owned some horses and would take me riding sometimes. However they were boarders (though not quite as spoiled as The Catfish), so I never really got a glimpse of what life on a horse ranch is really like.

Anyways, welcome, please tell us about yourselves, and I look forward to discussing this wonderful and moving book.
