BN Gift Cards

I have three gift cards listed in my account.  In what order does BN use them for ebook purchases.

I can never seem to use the up the card with the lowest dollar amount.

BN should use up the card with the lowest dollar amount first, so that the gift cards get used up.

B&N charges the card with the highest dollar amount first.  The current solution to this is to take your three cards into a B&N store and use them to buy one new card, so that you have only one gift card on the account.

Hopefully B&N will fix the logic for this soon, as I know it's put me, and others, off of buying gift cards.

Do you actually have to have physical cards to take to the store? I prefer buying gift cards and loading them onto my account rather than have a bunch of small charges on my credit cards, but once I've loaded it I usually get rid of it. Then there are e-mail gift cards
