The same thing happened to me. Nothing had changed, I'd been with my cable company for internet since they offered internet. I had to call B&N and we worked through it. My problem originally started with an error message about B&N not being able to use my credit card. When I called B&N, they told me that I was trying to order from another country. After you've worked it through with B&N you may want to check on your credit card just to be sure there is no problem there. Good luck

Unable to purchase error, order country different than billing country. It was working and i was able to order things on my nook color. I did not change anything since and i tried everything, still same effect. Confused and do not know the problem.
Sounds like your Internet connection is using a non-US IP-address. Use the NC browser to go to "whatsmyipaddress.com" to see your IP country.
