What kind of movies (file format; not genre), how did you put them there, what are you using to try and play them?

MX Player (free from Google play or pay for Pro version) is a good video program assuming the files are unprotected.

I just put about a dozen mp4 (DRM free) movies on my wife's HD this weekend on an SD card.  I didn't format the card on the device beforehand and just dragged and dropped from my folder on my XP computer onto the SD card, then inserted the card into the HD.

The movie player that comes with the HD kind of distorted the ratio, but using the movie gallery app allowed me to pick what ratio/size I wanted and they play fine/look good.

Are your movies DRM protected or in a format that isn't supported?
