My Nook is about 3 years old and tonight the screen saver doesn't completely clear. Any suggestions?

I've shut it down and it doesn't clear. If I do a rest to factory settings will that help. Or is it because the Nook is 3 years old?

This is called a "Etch-A-Scetch" syndrome. Like the old etch-a-scetch you want to shake it to clear the scrren but you can't do that. It is not fixable and B&N did offer me a simple touch that was refurbished but I went with the new Nook HD.

No way telling from lack of info posted.

1) Is the battery charged? Was it showing a good charge when screen went off?

2) Did you turn all the way off? And try to restart it?

Quite possible that either the battery has died totally.

Or the Screen died or the electronics died.

No way of telling without seeing it.

Would take to a B&N store and have them check it out for you.
