If you look up Nora Roberts, for example, there appear to be at least two other languages than english. The same book can be $2.99 , $3.99 vs. 7.99 for the english version. Just wondering why I have to pay more...THANKS!

Some countries money is worth more, or less to the dollar. Example, I live in US, Vermont. I am near the canadian border. Canadian dollar is worth less than an american dollar, so when they buy something in US, it cost them more.
It would be the same thing with another country. Their dollar may be worth more to hour dollar. There for their cost is less.
