I have been waiting for my replacement Nook since 10/18. Argix report it was shipped & rec'd at 11:30 PM. The USPS says it was electronically advised it would be rec'd 10/19. The delivery email from B&N stated 1-3 day delivery. B&N Digital CS had me on the line for 1hr 12mins and was no-zero-help. I wrote to CS and got a very nice apologetic email - still no information. ARGIX has no email address to contact them as a consumer waiting for a package.
The B&N rep in the store was terrific & the initial CS was equally terrific. Since then it has been all down hill. On Chat Support the rep told me he could not help me -I was referred by the apologetic one- to the Chat. Chat rep essentially said it is my problem. Email or call them(ARGIX).
I have read 60 + books since fathers day 2010. I can but any device-I chose the Nook. When things are good B&N is happy - things go south and ................

Argix basically picks up a load of packages from B&N warehousing, sorts it according to destination, then drops it at the USPS Bulk Mail Center for shipping and delivery. Once they've handed the load over to USPS, they have no idea where the packages are. Unless the package failed to make it to the USPS, Argix can't help you. And of course, USPS can't help you, either.

I too am wondering about the efficacy of Argus delivery. I ordered a book in my local store on Sunday 116. Argus provides the following info in their tracking page. Apparently it departed their Jamesburg facility on 11/7. No information since then? It is now 11/11, and I only live 50-60 miles from Jamesburg. I could have walked there and back myself.....
| 11-07-2011 | 06:55 PM | Departed Facility | JAMESBURG, NJ |
| 11-07-2011 | 11:08 AM | Processed at ARGIX Direct Location | JAMESBURG, NJ |
| 11-07-2011 | 08:31 AM | Arrived at ARGIX Direct Location | JAMESBURG, NJ |
| 11-07-2011 | 06:30 AM | Billing Information Received | JAMESBURG, NJ |

My experience with ARGIX is that they are slow & tracking information is inaccurate or unavailable in a timely fashion.
I rarely pay for any kind of upgraded shipping, but if there was an option to pay extra on my B&N orders so that ARGIX is not involved, I would.
I was so happy when my refurb N2E didn't ship from Jamesburg and was handled by UPS/USPS instead. it may not have been any quicker, but UPS tracking is generally pretty good, if not up-to-the-minute.

I'm with RHWright, you can't depend on their tracking and, once they drop it off to USPS, there doesn't seem to be any tracking at all most of time. I'd much rather the use UPS. However, my last order was on 11/6/11 and I received it on 11/12, so it showed up within the 5 days, so it's hard for me to complain.
My NST was shipped UPS, so it seems as though more expensive items, like buying a NC, NST, uses UPS, but they're using Argix/USPS for smaller items like books.
The other thing I've noticed is the Arrived at Argix Direct Location information. The direct location in my tracking information is a facility about 20 miles from me. How did it get to that facility and yours is a facility close to you. I don't know that B&N has warehouses in that many locations, so I'm somewhat confused as to how it gets to a location close to your/my home that quickly. I'd be interested to know if others are seeing it arrive a facility close to them.

Slightly OT, but since we're on B&N's shipping:
On at least two occasions I've had items show up with minor damage (dinged corners) because of the way they were packed—those darn air pillows. Not so significant that I had to return/exchange them, but still...annoying. Also makes me disinclined to order physical items.
That other online retailer plastic wraps items down to a cardboard flat the size of the box's base and I've never had items shift and get damaged from them. Just sayin'. ![]()

I placed an order with B&N on November 30th and asked for Express Shipping (2-3 business days). To date we have not recieved the order and neither B&N or Argix can locate the shipment. Looks to me like B&N needs to stop using ARGIX for shipments because they are slacking. Today I spoke with a CS rep at B& N who said she didn't know what happened to the shipment and I spoke to a CS rep at ARGIX who says that B&N can't tell them where the shipment is. If the shipment was shipped by ARGIX why are they asking B&N where the shipment is? Shouldn't they know the answer to this since they are the shipper? This is a very frustrating and dis-organized company. Both of them! B&N refused to refund my shipping fee even though they are out of contract for not getting my items to me in the time they agreed to. Any suggestions on what to do? If I cancel the shipment then I risk the fact that I'll not get my items...I need them BEFORE Friday which was the reason why I requested the Express Shipping to begin with. Who needs to cough up the extra pay for shipping?
