Can you please fix the display in "NOOK Simple Touch Ideas & Suggestions"?

It displays unlike any of the other discussions, with no way to figure out which discussions have comments I have not read.

I figure that the forum administrator (BN_AlexG) must have had a good reason for changing the format of that board to "Message Exchange" from "Message Board." (I got those labels by hovering over the board icons in the list.)

Rather than changing it back, maybe we could have some instructions for using that type of board. I find it confusing as well.

I do notice one new thing today. Some of the threads in "Ideas and Suggestions" now show status "Acknowledged" whereas all of them were "New" a few days ago. In the absence of any substantive response, I'm not sure exactly what "Acknowledged" means. But it sounds nice. At a guess, it's meant to convey that Alex has read the thread and maybe passed its suggestions on to the development team.

Alex, could you tell us a little more?

Thanks.

OH COME ON!!!!!!

Now the "Nook Simple Touch Issue Reporting" board has the same unusable format.

Seriously???  Somebody decided to respond by expanding it???

I did a little research in the support forums for the Lithium software, which is what B&N uses for the community boards here. I found that the type of board that's labelled "Message Exchange" here is called generically "Idea Exchange" in the mainstream Lithium product. I also found that some of their customers have been complaining for more than two years about the inability to see easily which comments are new in that type of board. So you're not alone in disliking that aspect of the change. Lithium seems to have indicated back in 2009 that a change was in the works to ameliorate the difficulty, but as far as I can tell it was never implemented.
