My wife and daughter love their Nook but honestly it is the most frustrating thing in my life. My home internet service is a point to point service (due to living in a rural area) with fairly good speed but not that of a typical city connection. Since day one I have had trouble downloading books and had to even go to McDonald's to get it registered (closes B&N is close to an hour away). I have done a significant mount of searching and have not found a resolution to this issues. I have a wireless internet connection. I can surf the web on the Nook web browser and I can even purchase books. However, when I go to search for new content or try to download a book, the Nook tells me I have no internet connection. I have tried changing my router to only broadcast on the g and n band and thought that did it. I was actually able to get the new content to show up last weekend. My daughter just bought some new books and now cannot get anything on the Nook to work again. I have a D-Link 628 wireless router that is secured. I have not played around with taking the security off because I don't want an unsecured network. The app on our laptop works great (and that is on the same wireless network). I also cannot get the app on our Motorola Xoom tablet to download books or check for new content. I get the same error. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
