Syncing bookmarks in Simple Touch

I have had different experiences.  I was reading a book using the first edition.  When I got the Simple Touch, I unregistered the first ed and registered the new one.  The bookmark for the book I was reading was lost.  But when I unregistered the Simple Touch and re-registered, the bookmark was intact.  Will switching devices clear bookmarks or keep them?  How can I upload bookmarks to my online account?  When I contacted customer service they said, this option was not available but I have seen posts which says bookmarks can be synced to online account.  Thanks!

Hi gab26,

Bookmarks will actually automatically sync across your devices. As long as your NOOK is connected to Wi-Fi;  it will periodically do this on its own. However, you can force a sync by tapping the circular arrows icon in the top right corner of the library.

I'm sorry that didn't happen correctly with the original switch from 1st edition to Simple Touch.

Doesn't work! Can't sync a book across my Nook 1st Edition and Simple Touch no matter what I try. I have archoved and unarchived and I sync on my Nook 1st edition (by Check for new B&N content) and hit the cirular arrow on the simple touch. The page I ended on EACH is preserved and they each have their own bookmarks. UGH!

I'm having the same issue.  My bookmarks did not come across to the Simple Touch.  Any suggestions?

Same here, bookmarks from simple touch won't sync to the first edition. Nor the otther way around.
