Why won't B&N respond to problems about the Read in Store feature for N1E???

So disappointing that I go into B&N and see people using the 'read in store' feature on the their nook color and simple touch ... but those of us with the original N1E only get an error message.  This ability was a major factor in choosing the nook over the kindle.

In the last two years, I've easily spent over a $1,000 in the cafe while reading.  In the last month, maybe $10 since I can't sit for an hour and relax with my nook. I can't get anyone at B&N to seem to care except the local store staff, and they don't know what to do about the problem.

So, B&N wants out of the eReader/eBook business???

Multiple reports on the internet today report that B&N is shopping their 'nook' business for sale.  Maybe that explains the lack of response about product problems.

From what I read, they're not shopping their Nook business for sale, they're exploring the possibility of spinning it off into a separate segment.
