I lost my mini wire-haired dachshund in January and my family immediately got me a puppy.
He is another male mini-wire and is now a year old. He has a much different personality and seems to need a LOT more exercise than my other dachshund ever did. He came from a breeder that gave him and the other five or six dogs in her home complete freedom to run and play. Even with walking him twice a day, sometimes three times, he seems to want more. Is this a sign that he needs another dog in the house or would that not make a difference really? I don't want to get a second puppy unless it will truly benefit him.
