Can you give any examples in your own relationship with your dog where you’ve been letting an unstable behavior go uncorrected because it’s “cute” or “funny”?

This question made me think about a friend's dog from long ago. He was an Australian Shepherd who would steal the newspaper from somewhere every day and bring it home to his master. Sunday's paper was, of course, too large and cumbersome. At the time, I thought this behavior was funny, but thinking about it now, I wonder where he would have gotten that idea, and where he was getting that paper every single day!
(He also must have been part goat, because he would eat anything, but that's another story!)
