Re: Fahrenheit 451 and other suggestions

djaq,

The Count of Montecristo is my all time favourite, my cat is named Luigi Vampa. Love that book. I think you are missing a little Dickens in your list. Just finished re-reading Great Expectations. It is definitely a must.

Re: Fahrenheit 451 and other suggestions

Yevgeny Zamyatin's We was the first successful modern scientific dystopian novel. It has not become dated between now and 1921.  If you have ever been afraid for freedom, this is the book to read.  It is vividly told and a tale for all ages.
