Attn Readers and Authors...EBook Contest needs you!!!!

Our local RWA chapter, Oklahoma Romance Writers of America, (OKRWA) is launching an ebook only contest. This is a great opportunity for authors, especially Indie authors, to get their name out. It's also a FUN way for readers to get free books, and for them to contribute their opinions on various books and make a difference in which one(s) rises above the others.

The basics:

All full FICTION manuscripts and short stories released in 2010 or 2011 that are not available in print at the time of the contest deadline and that fall into the following categories are eligible: (These do not have to contain romance)

Contemporary (any Romance or Women's Fiction or other FICTION story set in present day that doesn't fall into one of the other categories)

Suspense

Paranormal

Inspirational

Historical

Young Adult

Erotica

Entry fee is $15.00 per entry, and you can enter as many as you'd like. There will be a maximum of 100 entries per category accepted, so once we begin accepting entries, be sure to get yours in right away.

A PDF of your story will need to be emailed to the contest coordinator for your category.

There will be five places in each category. The winner of each will receive an engraved paper weight listing their book title, category, name, and IDA First Place winner. ALSO, the winner will be guaranteed to have reviews and tweets/facebook posts from at least five of our chapter members for more exposure. (Reader judges will be encouraged to review the books they judge, but it will not be a requirement. Keep in mind, it doesn't mean the story will receive a 5 star review. Everyone has different opinions, but the key is exposure and opportunity)

Bonus for all entrants: Each entry will be placed in a drawing (whether or not it places). The winner of the drawing will receive a free book trailer for their story. (You will work directly with the person to create your trailer)

Please contact AliciaMDean@aol.com for more information on the International Digital Awards (IDA). We are rolling out the contest sometime this month, hopefully, and will need reader judges. Authors (published or unpublished) are invited to judge, even if you're entering, as long as you judge a category other than the one you're entering.
