Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Books That Are good Reads

I've read like all the major series and i need some new material.  i started reading the big empty series by J.B. Stephens.  It was awesome but I don't want to order the other books online.  I love romance and adventure books and fantasy and historical fiction.:smileyhappy:

Re: Books That Are good Reads

I "enjoyed" both books by Khaled Hosseini, Kite Runner and Thousand Splendid Suns (but then who didn't? Enjoy is probably the wrong word, but they're definitely good reads. Two other books by Don Locke

The Reluctant Journey of David Connors

and

The Summer the Wind Whispered My Name

were both great books, especially because they're each so unique: I've never read anything like "Reluctant Journey"-- it's kind of a fantasy/mystery/magical story that's at the same time very real and believable. And "Summer" which deals with the same character is very different: sort of like a cross between "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Thunderbolt Kid" by one of my favorite authors, Bill Bryson:

The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid

I'm including the links to these books to make it as easy as possible for you to see these great books! I've read half a dozen books by Bryson, and loved them all!

Re: Books That Are good Reads

MY HUSBAND HAS READ "THE YEARS PAST" BY JOHN H. BRIANT. IT IS A MYTERY THAT TAKES PLACE IN THE ADIRONDACKS. IT WAS AN EXCELLENT BOOK THAT KEPT ME GUESSING UNTIL THE END WHO THE MURDERER WAS. IT WAS EASY READING. HE HAS READ THE OTHER FIVE ADIRONDACK MYSTERY BOOKS BY JOHN AND HAS ENJOYED EVERYONE OF THEM. THEY ARE SO DOWN TO EARTH AND TAKE PLACE IN THE OLD FORGE AND AREA SURROUNDINGS. HE ALSO ENJOYED HIS AUTOBIOGRAPHY "ONE COP'S STORY, A LIFE REMEMBERED". DALE HOPKINS

Re: Books That Are good Reads

The Hunger Games

It kept me up reading until 4 am. I couldn't put it down. I just re-read it in preparation for the sequel coming out tomorrow.

It is a great book for anyone of any age to read. It has romance and action. It's also one of those books that makes you think...
