LOL, you'll need to be more specific. What are your favorite books, and why did you like them?
Currently Reading: Dead Ever After

If I were you I'd sign up for a free account at Goodreads and tell it some of the books you've liked (you can rate them from one to five stars). Wait a few minutes and it will give you recommendations based on what other people who like the same books as you also like. It works even better if you categorize ("shelve") your books based on genre or topic. Then it gives you recommendations within each category. Take a look at my shelves (see my sig) for examples.

There should be people in the store wearing B&N nametags. They're called "booksellers", and they should be able to help you out.
If you're not in a B&N store, you're on the wrong forum board. ![]()

I didn't think of Goodreads until after I posted the question but I did go on there and was like oh! this is much easier.

To answer your original question, I just started Cruising Attitude by Heather Poole, and I'm liking it so far. I've always been pretty sympathetic to flight attendants, and I am even more so now.
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children was, well, peculiar. It owes something to J. K. Rowling, especially at the beginning. I wouldn't go so far as to say I didn't like it, but don't waste money on it unless you've checked it out of a library and liked it.
And Holly, if you're reading this, I am a delinquent; I didn't do my homework. Hunger Games is still not available at my local library, so I read (and am reading) the stuff above (and some techie stuff) instead. ![]()

And speaking of quirky, I just got around to reading a novel that was recently offered for free (it's still inexpensive at $3.99):
I recommend it very highly. It's full of quirky characters and situations -- many of them laugh-out-loud funny -- but at its heart it's a deeply felt riff on the human condition. Very entertaining, and moving at the same time.

Too many books not enough time.
