Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Re: Julie, The Average Nook Owner....

Nice to know B&N has Julie all taken care of, now maybe they could put a little thought into what the rest of us might like

Seriously?  Seriously?

You complain nearly constantly about the fact that B&N is inept at providing digital content.

I, personally, don't think they have any idea what it takes to compete in a digital world.  They've certainly proven that if they do know what it takes, they aren't committed to providing it.

I look at it more like, asking for what I want. And the fella i responded to said he was unhappy, so I said be specific in his wants.

Thats it really.

Either way,  he could always spray some Old Spice on the Nook, for that clean fresh scent of a manly machine. And name it Brock's Nook.

And BN listen up ! Put this on the box next to the name : (Nook, it aint just for girlie's) :

Sample slogan's to increase sales :

Nook, so simple even a dumb guy can use it !!

Nook HD : Smells as good as a locker room !

Nook, extended warranty against farts or burps and aftersmell !

Nook, made for the neanderthal in you !

Nook, don't worry, the only device that compensates for the reduced brain capacity of a man !

It's a small world afterall except when your far away.
