My systems have been slow loading also. Saw a lot of the green and brown screen before seeing writing.
Vermontcozy you were there. You were taking turns making drinks for everyone.
You make a good Hot Toddy. Loved the bars you brought. You must share the recipe.
I personally overloaded on the variety of desserts everyone brought to share.
Must do again soon.

Is anyone else getting these occasional solid black 21/2" across the screen bars?
They last about 1 to 11/2 min then disappear. Looked like someone had redacted a thread I was reading, then it went away, only to return elsewhere.
Yes, I get them. The top, and the bottom, while the color graphics are loading. The rust color changes to green on the bottom, and the top colors where changing from rust, to green, now they change also to a blue/black to the final "holiday green". I can see these are the colors mixing to become their final color. You can't navigate while any of this is happening...you just have to wait until it all downloads. I also know what you were talking about, when trying to type in the message box too soon. The trouble is, I can't see what is left that has to be downloaded, even when our computer tells us it's "done", it still isn't...I don't have a clue how graphics, or colors, are downloaded, but other websites, as has been pointed out, don't seem to have that problem. It's the solid background colors that seem to be the menace, and the animated fonts in the ads. Just from my point of view.
