Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Re: Need Help Finding Book Club Sites:

There are also tons of book discussion groups in the Yahoo Groups. Everything you could possibly want. 2,469 groups as of last count. Many are very lightly attended or defunct, but many are quite active.

Go here to start exploring the options:
http://dir.groups.yahoo.com/dir/Entertainment___Arts/Humanities/Books_and_Writing

You need to register at Yahoo (free) to post. Every group has a home page that should describe what it's about and show the message history, which shows how active the group is. Some groups make you join before you can read messages, others let you read messages, but not post until you join. Joining a group is free, and you can unjoin easily if you find the group doesn't suit you.

Of course none of those groups are up to the quality of the discussions here, but some are a pretty close second best, particularly those devoted to a given author like Dickens or Trollope or Shakespeare.

Re: Need Help Finding Book Club Sites:

Hi!

I happen to have my own book club site (just recently started) and I would love to have people comment on books they've read and join the book of the month club!

The site is www.book-club-queen.com.

Check us out!

Hope this helps!

During my research I found another great site - www.readersclub.org and www.allreaders.com.

Happy Reading!
