[OT:] Forum/Support Recommendations

Totally off topic of anything here.

I recently got my first Android phone (yeah, yeah, I'm a dinosaur).

I've always appreciated the knowledge, congeniality, and openness around these forums for issues NOOK and otherwise.

Anyone have any suggestions for a similar place dedicated to Android phones, apps, etc? It's a Motorola Atrix HD, if that matters, but right now looking for more general Android discussion and advice. (Obviously, we have the thread here for the NOOK Android App, but beyond that seems out of the usual scope of discussion here.)

Thanks all!

Android Central has some great forums.

If you become interested in rooting, XDA is the place to go, though the forums can be kind of dramatic.

Re: [OT:] Forum/Support Recommendations

I'd recommend XDA-Developers even if you don't think you're interested in rooting. There's lots of good general info as well as device-specific tips. As for rooting, it's a much more minimal procedure on most phones compared to what you may have been led to believe reading about rooting Nook devices. Many folks root a phone not to install an alternate OS but simply to allow a few useful apps that require root access, such as Titanium Backup Pro.

This forum is very active, with carrier and/or phone specific conversations.

Android Forums, on Phandroid, has always been one of the most helpful forums for Android devices, for me, in addition to XDA Developers.
