Pages in books

Why doesn't BN publish how many pages are in a book? I checked with someone who has a Kindle and it does. Very frustrating when you order a book with few pages. I love my Nook but like to know before ordering.

Re: Pages in books

I haven't gotten use to the page numbers (or get a sense of the size of the books from them.) Example I just finished a book that was like 506 pages, It is probably the same size or less then the book that I am now reading that is 215 pages..

The 506 page book was pretty much a new page number everytime you turned the page, the 215 takes about 3 page changes on the nook that equaled one true page number..

Best to go by intrest in the topic and reviews, hopefully the reviews will tell you if they thought it was disappointing in length compared to price.

The only ones I've had a single short story in were some free ones, and so I can't complain about the length of the story, for the price.

Re: Pages in books

Some e books seem to keep the p book pagination, which depending on how large a font you choose is 2-4 pages in an e book. Others seem to convert one page number for each e book page. Unless there is a standad print size and pagination method it's not that relevent.

Re: Pages in books

Since there is no standard for pagination of ebooks, I don't care about the page count. I do, however, wish that B&N would include the word count in the product details instead of or along with the file size.
