Doxology by Tim Black
Rhett Butler, the runt of a litter of dachshunds, is born with magical healing powers. Working with his master he begins to heel various infirmities until the AMA learns about him and goes after him for actually healing patients. What was this dog? Why did he have such healing powers? Was he a dyslexic's version of God? Or was Jesus too busy walking around another Holy Land on some other planet and the best Earth could get was Christ's dog? Doxology attempts to answer such theological questions with a dachshund that makes Lassie look like a slow learner.
A whimsical and satiric short work from our Nibs literary line.
Tim Black is a multi-published author of numerous short stories and magazine articles. In 2011, Untreed Reads published the memoir of Tim’s daughter Taylor entitled Daydreams & Diaries

Hi!
I have a new edition of my second published novel out. It's called Lisa's Way; here's what it's about:
Teenager Lisa Herbert lives in the small town of Mountain View on the planet Fairfield. The “Savage Rain” decades earlier shut down the hyperspace gate and isolated her world. A casual remark from her sister gets Lisa to ask a simple question: “If life was better before the ‘Savage Rain,’ why couldn’t it be better again?”
That question starts Lisa on a journey. She reactivates Fairfield’s H-gate and travels to three worlds. Each planet offers her a chance to improve life by hard work, by trade, or by making friends. She relies on her brains, her compassion, and a little sneakiness to solve the problems she faces.
Lisa’s Way presents a heroine more interested in reasoning than fighting, and more concerned with doing good than looking good.
Here's where you can find it in the B&N store:
I hope you like it!

Short Description
The views on soul and reincarnation vary from no such thing as a ‘soul’ to only humans possess a soul, to both humans and animals possess a soul, and that soul likewise dies when the physical body dies or that soul is immortal and never dies. All religions believe in the existence of SOUL in human body, but they differ in what happens after death. This manuscript searches for the truth.

HI, drdlin,
This book has really gotten my interest! I haven't read much in the spirituality genre for quite a while but used to enjoy these kinds of books years ago. Are there any others like this that you would recommend? I did a search on Dhillon- especially on Smashmouth- and I think he is understandable and his writing style will hold my interest.
Thanks so much for introducing me to someone and something new!
Cheers,
Nancy
