Read "Romancing the Stove" by Samahria Ramsen

If You Want to Know the Secrets of food preparation and eating practiced over the centuries in the land of the Himalayan mountains, experience Romancing The Stove® by Samahria Ramsen.

Why Romancing The Stove®?

Because this book is not just another cookbook. This book is based on the Vedic principles and philosophy of the ancient science of India, Ayurveda, "The Science of Life", brought to us by the living Master straight from the foothills of the Himalayas.

In Romancing The Stove® the author presents the reader with her meditations in the form of recipes. It is important to realize that each dish is a part of romance and is named appropriately for a specific mood or occasion.

Get into the spirit of each name while you prepare the food. The name itself will suggest what recipe, when followed, may do for you and will help you to understand the effects of each dish on your mind and body.

Consider making a personal menu using these exotic names. When you are romancing or entertaining imagine offering your family and friend "Heavens Hash Brown" with "Warm Affection" and "A Date with The Taste Buds" for lunch.

Make each meal a celebration, an offering to the body for housing your spirit.

Romancing the Stove® is truly a guide to the discovery of the real joy of cooking and eating.

Is my father a murderer?

[ Edited ]
My name is David Brown. I’m in my dorm room, staring through a shattered window as the police hold back protestors that hate me and my family. My father was Ray Brown, the world acclaimed software genius who developed the code for Atlas, the first computer system that could speak intelligently. Just like the computer in the old Star Trek series. Everybody admired my father, but his final act was to release a lethal computer virus into the Internet and shut down computers all over the world.

I was eleven when the virus roared across the Internet. They say more than a million people died before the virus was terminated and the computers restarted. He was one of those who didn’t make it.

I got a big surprise this morning --- a time-delayed email dated ten years in the past. A message from my father. He claims to have discovered a virus hidden in the new Atlas release, and he is trying to track down its developers. Either my father was delusional or someone framed him for a crime he didn’t commit. If I could prove his innocence, my name would be cleared and maybe I’d have a normal life. Of course, if I dig into this, the people who murdered him will come after me.

I have to know the truth, wherever it takes me. What have I got to lose?

Read My Book: Stories about the REAL Miami Vice!

[ Edited ]
Hi!

My name is Michael Berish. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and received my Master of Arts degree in Communications from Barry University.

I worked as a patrolman, a detective and as a supervisor with the City of Miami Police Department for twenty-two years, thirteen of which were spent as an undercover detective in the REAL Miami Vice where I worked everything from Narcotics & Vice, Prostitution, Gambling and Pornography, to Dignitary Protection of President Jose Napoleon Duarte (of El Salvador) and Pope John Paul II.

I've written screenplays, plays, and numerous short stories that have won several writing awards.

My new book out is entitled: REFLECTIONS FROM THE PIT.

Bad things happen in "the Pit," a notorious crime-infested ghetto in downtown Miami. My experiences as a Miami policeman for twenty-two years serve as fuel for these exciting, intense stories about life as a cop in a tough part of a big city.

REFLECTIONS FROM THE PIT'S approach to storytelling is unique in that all of these stories contain individual, quirky, off-center characters and focus on their basic character flaws while dealing with the social issues of the day. They are meant to be snapshots into the dark side of police work and deal with segregation, racism, sexism, prejudice, teenage prostitution, police brutality and its senseless violence, crazies who think they have been abducted by aliens, the murdering of transvestites, the lack of compassion and sympathy by the younger generation for their elders, the injustice and ineptitude of the legal system, the stupidity of criminals and the cowardice of police officers in the face of danger (the latter of which is rarely seen on TV), hangings from police cruisers, affirmative action, Cuban freedom fighters a.k.a. terrorists, the callousness of society towards the homeless, drug-dealing cops and corruption, bungled police stings, the "don't get involved" syndrome and the raping of the elderly.

These reflections, which cover more than one hundred years of history, give one pause for thought and a peek into the human swamp usinge, usinng my intimate knowledge of "the Pit" to bring these Miami cop stories alive. I'm hoping that when you finish reading these stories in my new book you will say to yourself: "I never knew people like this, including the cops, ever existed."

Seven Candles

Hi fellow readers. If you liked Sidney Poitiers memoir, "The Measure of a Man", than I'm sure you'll like this memoir because it parallels his youth in many ways. An inspirational work based on my mother’s true life history of her survival during World War II in Europe, this memoir illustrates the struggle of a young child with five brothers and one sister who faced a life of tyrannical authority during the German occupation of France. It was a life that was filled with difficulties, strange complexities, horrifying incidents, and sentiments which were equivalent but not translatable. Enjoy reading it and don't hesitate to ask any questions.

The Memoirs of A Broken Child A Book Of Poetry By Chelec Fields

[ Edited ]
Hi, This is Chelec

My book of Memoirs was just released on 1/08/07 check it out. This book is a collection of verses that paints a portrait of my experience as A six-year-old child. From poetry like "We Beat Them shoes", that depicts how my sister and I retaliated against my dads shoes for the abuse of my mother. He was hurting her and we wanted to hurt him too. Because of the abuse my mom w's going through by the hands of my father she had to leave. By mom having to leave dad I had to be taken care of by other people who didn't know I was being molested by their teenage son. This book has Parenting Proverbs for parents because we as parents need to hear our children even when their not saying a word. My mother was so caught up in what she was going through she couldn't hear me with her eyes. I became very shy and withdrawn mom could not see the change. The Memoirs of a Broken Child A book Of Poetry is written to help the reader begin to understand abuse and to urge them to be alert to children and the situation they may be in. Re: The Ovum Factor by Marvin L. Zimmerman

Well, it took me over a year, including several months living in Brazil and traveling the Amazon, but it's finally done and soon-to-be released (February 1, 2008) in North America: my debut novel - The Ovum Factor.

I think you will really enjoy The Ovum Factor. It is an intelligent, fast-paced eco-thriller that will take you from the centers of high-finance in New York to the California Institute of Technology in beautiful Pasadena - from China to the crime-infested slums of Rio de Janeiro, and finally into the hidden depths of the Amazon jungle. In between, there will be more twists and turns than the Da Vinci Code.

The Ovum Factor will take you through a series of exhilarating adventures as the reluctant hero, David Rose, struggles to fulfill two ancient prophecies for saving mankind from catastrophic climate change. In the process, he will have to cope wht his growing feelings for beautiful Chinese biochemist, Emily Chang. In the end, David will finally come to realize his true destiny.

Circle of Doors by Ranse Parker

[ Edited ]
Circle of Doors is an uncommon novel that many readers are finding genuinely exciting. Before starting to write formally, I was heavily involved in running what would become the last of my companies. One morning I awoke to a disturbing realization that the intense business interest that had driven my professional life for the past twenty-five years was completely gone – literally. It was as if someone had reached into my soul and taken it all from me while I slept.

Three empty and confusing months later, I experienced a unique and vivid dream over two nights. What I saw in that dream was a movie I had never seen before. Inspiration returned in a manner unexpected when an impression to write the story from the dream became overwhelming. It was a change of ambition so strange that when the decision was finally made to commit everything to writing and publishing the story, I also swore my family to secrecy. That was over five years ago.

Circle of Doors is a mystery that chronicles a time in Ethan Grey’s life just after he has experienced a debilitating loss. An anonymous video journal arrives containing images of a devastating power seen only once before in a vision kept secret. After confiding in a new friend with questionable associations, they begin searching for answers. Revelations unfold that Ethan finds impossible to believe. But within the impossible is glimpsed the hope that once gave his life meaning. Now as he struggles for the courage to understand, he also begins to unravel an inconceivable malevolence hidden in a darkness that no one else has seen – no one except a young woman, who kept a journal.

Circle of Doors was just released in national distribution and is available through Barnes & Noble and other major booksellers nationwide. Specifically, Barnes & Noble has been incredibly receptive of the work and we are in the process of scheduling signings with them at various locations. A tour is in the plans for later this year. Reader reviews from the advance copy, an events schedule and other information can be found on the web site. Thank you and best wishes.
