I'm pleased to say that my contemporary romance novel is now available on B&N:
Maxfield Sinclair, the author of a popular science fiction series, is revered by fans everywhere as "The Creator." Drew Cooper, a snobbish literature professor, isn’t impressed with Max’s books, or with Max himself, for that matter. As Drew gets to know Max, however, she realizes there’s more to the shy, awkward writer than meets the eye. But can a woman who enjoys escargot and caviar fall in love with a guy who thinks fine cuisine means supreme instead of pepperoni?
Also still available:
Thanks for taking a look!

Hi there readers looking for your next great read!
My co-author, Jason Salfali, and I are proud to present Sleight of Hand, the first novel in our new series, The Immortal Champions Saga:
Ashton Salveya, a seemingly ordinary young man, discovers his true identity through dreams of a hauntingly familiar dark realm. Ashton must cope with the sinister task he is destined to undertake, one that is key in determining the outcome of a war amongst the immortals. When Ashton learns that the “Showman” - a magician whose final act ended in tragedy - is conspiring to kill him, he must face the performer and stop the dark immortals before they pull off their disastrous scheme.
"A really great addition to the ever-growing paranormal book population - with a new and exciting twist. Sure, there’s the always expected romance, but the strength in this story lies in the epic conflict between good and evil. This superbly written, fast-paced novel is complete with truly kick-ass fight scenes, swords and just a touch of sinister magic. I’m eagerly awaiting the next installment in the Immortal Champions Saga." -HemingwayHeroine.blogspot.com

Thank you for the thread! My second novel just came out last week. I write romantic suspense with a touch of mystery and plenty of action.
Writer Alexandra Martinson woke from a coma ten years ago not remembering Detective Rick Ryan and the love they shared. As Rick readies himself to tell her how he feels fate throws another obstacle in his path, actor Thane Hunter.
When Alex’s ex-husband goes in search of revenge, Rick and Thane must work together to save her. Only one man will do whatever it takes to make sure she survives.
Just finished reading "Always" on my I-pod. It's a wonderful love story, with just enough dark mystery to make it difficult to put down without discovering the outcome. The author does wonderful character development and it is the type of story that has good film script potential. The characters are vibrant and evoke strong emotion as the author weaves them into a story of unconditional love and revenge motivated obsession. I found the book enjoyable and a great read.
Nature of the Beast
After a one night stand with her ex-husband Kathy follows Nick to Minnesota. Tempers flare when Kathy arrives in Brody to find Nick has taken a new lover, Angie Reynolds, a beauty nearly half his age. Fearing for Kathy’s safety Nick moves her into his house. Kathy finds herself a new playmate in Nick’s Deputy Ben. Nick and Kathy struggle with their strained relationship as they both date other people.
As Brody celebrates Heritage Days Nick has his hands full with a town full of tourists, a serial killer and two angry girlfriends. Victim number three is found alive but lapses into a coma and is unable identify her attacker. Deputy Russ Thompson finds a clue at the crime scene. Russ struggles with his decision to remain silent about what he found.
A violent storm descends on Brody putting everyone’s nerves on edge. When both women turn up missing Nick must use all his skills to figure out who the killer is before one of his women becomes the next victim.
Between the serial killer/murder mystery and the depth of emotion between the characters I was hooked. The visuals of Minnesota's wilderness were wonderful, it was like I was there. The book flowed well from one scene to the next and the ending was unexpected but incredibly moving.
Once I pick up her books I can't seem to put them down until I'm finished.
I would love to see this one as a movie!

I'm beginning to think I need to change the subject line to "It's a B&N and Brit kind of a book!". Since that other reader was introduced in the UK late this summer, Boomerang has gotten a wonderful reception over there. Here are two of the recent reviews.
At the start of the week I was lamenting the fact that I no longer had my copy of The Big Lebowski on DVD and that it still hasn't appeared on Blu-ray yet, then I stumble across a book called Boomerang on kindle that feels right at home being mentioned in such esteemed company.
I purchased the book yesterday and finished it today, it's a real page turner! I felt instantly drawn into the world that Alan Hutcheson has created for his characters. The main protagonists you'll end up rooting for will probably be Jerry & Ted, their reunion Outside Cafe Verdi, North Beach San Francisco had me in hysterics! Doreen and Amelia run them a close second though!
Every step of the journey taken to this tales conclusion was really enjoyable and the books pacing is good throughout and the ending is well executed. Had a bit of the Tarantino's about it too.
At 69 pence the book is fantastic value and well worth a look. Mrs Yee demands that you do!
5 stars out 5!

This is a book that I will struggle to finish! I assume it's just my sense of humour but at times I had tears running down my face! This has been one of the funniest books I've read! I don't know if that was the intention, but it is,to me, first class! The Head of AABC pondering about his position was just so funny! Thanks to the author,Alan Hutchison, for a great book!
And of course, thanks so much to the nook owners who have added Boomerang to your e-libraries already!

Tempest by Holly A. Hook available for 99 cents on Nook and Kindle!
Sixteen-year-old Janelle never thought the gray spiral birthmark on her arm meant anything special. That is, until she meets Gary, a boy her age with a birthmark exactly like hers. Gary’s attractive, brooding, and perfectly normal…except for the fact that he materialized out of a dangerous hurricane right in front of her. Janelle’s certain of only one thing. Gary’s mark—and hers, too—mean something, but he’s reluctant to tell her what.
At last she squeezes the truth from Gary about their markings. And the truth is utterly terrifying: Janelle and Gary are more connected to the destructive power of nature than she ever dreamed possible. And learning the truth about herself is only the start of her nightmare.
Reviews for Tempest:
4 stars: "Kudos to Ms. Hook. This book is an exciting, fun ride. I'll admit that at first I was skeptical - the first few pages felt like a young adult novel, which is not my style. But I immediately got sucked in, and I felt driven to continue reading. By the climax of the story I felt a kind of emotional connection to the main characters. There were times when I wanted to grab Janelle and ask "What were you thinking?" And the character of Andrina would get me so angry - only good writing can elicit that kind of reaction. I think the best part of this book is the pace. There were times when I found myself reading much later than I should have. But I needed to find out what happened next. Because of the pace, the characters, and the potential for some pretty spiffy special effects, in my mind I could see this story becoming a motion picture. Pick up this book. Sit back. Enjoy the (wild) ride.

I have several YA novels out for the Nook that I would love to highlight.
Skye Williams knows everything there is to know about mistrust: Dad skipped out when she was five, leaving Mom with an angry daughter and an upside-down mortgage. Then there were the boyfriends—at least a dozen—hot on his heels and hot for her mom, none of whom stuck around long enough to figure out Skye hated them—hated the underage toys they brought as bribes and the way they looked at her, speeding past with the same distaste they would have for a yellow traffic light. And now this Warren Jacobs has shown up to sweep Mom off her feet—and all he’s brought with him is a crummy, dog-eared book. She doesn’t even read! How can Mom even like this guy, much less trust him? He’s just another loser.
But Warren’s not the only concern rocking Skye’s world. Devin Abbott, a guy she’s known since kindergarten, has changed. Almost at once, he’s become this tall, broad-shouldered guy with dark hair and easy eyes she might date—if he hadn’t always been her best friend. Skye swears there’s nothing between them, but everyone else thinks differently. Devin doesn’t act the way he used to, especially when Kellin Morgan, senior quarterback, asks Skye out. Flattered, she accepts, and, Devin sulls up—and he isn’t the only one. Kellin’s best friend, Tyler Rutherford, gets bent out of shape, too, as he’s always wanted Skye for himself. When Kellin and Skye attend one of Tyler’s famous parties, neither senses the impending disaster. Afterwards Skye is left with consequences that will change not only her life but also that of everyone who loves her.

Seventeen-year-old Elizabeth Moon has been dreaming of her murder her entire life, and in those dreams, a dark presence is there, watching. When she returns home to Hauser’s Landing, the very place her father disappeared, she comes in contact with a gorgeous boy named Lev Walker, and it’s not long before she’s falling in love. But there’s something wrong with Lev. When she realizes he’s the eerie watcher in her dreams, she’ll have to discover the truth.
