But do you have RuPaul's Christmas album sitting next to Michael Crawford's?  If you really feel like humiliation have one of your friends going through your cds and find the RuPaul one, you will never live it down :smileyvery-happy:

Haha, well that's forgivable... I have Clay Aiken's Christmas album, so it's all good. :smileyvery-happy:
Man... I gotta say, though, I was totally into NSYNC back in the day!

Ok, I'm coming out of the closet.....I did too. I'm ashamed to admit it but it is the first step to getting help.

Even worse...(gasp) I have *NYSNC's Christmas album. I'm not sure I can handle the embarassment if anyone has stumbled upon that secret while perusing my profile page. So I figured I better fess up first. :smileywink:

I'm not sure what the motivation is for keeping it private - I mean its lists of your favorite books and albums, what is there to hide?

Maybe somebody doesn't want people to know that one of their favorite groups is the Mills Brothers?

Of course, only a few people here have ever heard of the Mills Brothers.

Well, now that you've admitted it out in the open, you might as well open up your profile.  And, if nobody will know who they are anyway, what are you afraid of?

I suppose I had heard of them back when I was a child, but I don't really remember about them.

Re: Show off your My B&N profile!

So, some feedback for you on the B&N profile...i pretty much finished mine and "email shared" it with a few of my friends, but it doesn't let them see my "wishlist"!! wouldn't it be great if they could, especially for gift buying?? Second feedback, for the books you recommend to me based on my library...they really need to take out the spanish ones and there should be an option where you can decline the books they recommend so they don't keep appearing...thanks!

I think I know the answer to this one, although I haven't tried it.  If you go to the Wishlist that you want to share, there is something at the top of that page where you can make that particular list public or private.  I assume that each wishlist can be set separately.

I know - I've been seeing the same books in my recommendations every time since I first set up the profile, even though I have added many books on other subjects since then.  It's kind of annoying.

Re: Show off your My B&N profile!

I love reading all kinds of books, so if I put something on my list someone doesn't like, just keep looking and maybe you will find one that sounds like something you would read. That is the purpose of the lists, right?

Re: Show off your My B&N profile!

I'm new to the Community Room and just wanted to add my B&N profile to the list.  I have an eclectic collection in the B&N library but if you need ideas for books about nutrition, medicine, or biographies my profile is a good place to look.
