Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

There isn't a way to remove suggestions yet but that's something being worked on for the future.

You probably broke the mechanism because you listed Rick Astley as a favorite and the program didn't know what to do with itself!  :smileyvery-happy:

Where it says Suggestions for You: Books/DVDS/Music  just click the option you want to see

My B&N profile is complete! I have never noticed that the profile provides suggestions for cds and movies as well. Where do I see these? Is it just like the suggestions for books? I'm going to check it out and see why I haven't noticed them before. I'm curious as to what the suggestions may be.

Thanks, fforgnayr. I just took a look at my suggestions, and I have to say that I am quite pleased. Nothing like Nsync or Hannah Montana.

The book suggestions never change. I know this has been a complaint of several other B&N members, but geez- it's still a little aggravating.

Not fair that you didn't get stuck with Hannah Montana :smileywink:

I have 7 favorite cds listed: Michael Buble, Patti Labelle, Lupe Fiasco, Javier, Michael Jackson, Bobbie Eakes, and Loreena Mckennitt are the artists who put out those cds.  So please someone tell me what they have to to with Hannah Montana, Grey's Anatomy Soundtrack, and a Opera Singer?

Haha! Poor luck you have there... I want to know why it keeps suggesting all of these cookbooks from Food Network stars to me... I have nothing about cooking on my profile anywhere! Hmmm. Another great mystery of life...

Hmmm...I think it a brainwashing conspiracy to try and get us to get things that completly goes against our better judgement.   You can't get much closer to Evil then Hannah Montana.

Laughing at someone else's pain is not nice, it's fun, but not nice :smileywink:
