Is it the site or that everyone across the Eastern Eastboard is working from home? I just signed on a few minutes ago and haven't had trouble -- yet. But I did with another site.

No darling, it was not the snow.
Netflix, Hulu, Adult Swim, facebook, and JForums were working just as snapily as ever. I don't bother b*tching on here unless I've already checked and found it to be only this site.
But I can't explain why another site bogged on you either. (shrug)

I've had problems hit and miss most of the afternoons, including with sites that have never given me a problem before. But, I have had an inordinate number of "server not" available on these B&N pages. (Interesting, sometimes an error message would appear only in an advertising space. I don't remember having seen that before.)

Won't even repeat all my tsuris (troubles). You can read it here.
But I didn't mention the freeze-ups, which started tonight. It's not us, Pepper. Being in IT, my comp is in tiptop condition. I built it myself and do all my own repair and maintenance.

What is happening with SIGN IN?!?!?!?
Major problems; couldn't get on at all this morning, and now had to jump through major hoops to sign in.
And if someone could tell me why the cursor is disappearing, I'd apreciate it.

Now that's weird. I signed in as usual, this morning and just now. I pushed my B&N (favorite) button, and it comes directly to the community boards, as usual. Until I clear the cookies, it doesn't require my logging in. I think I've actually just had one time that I jumped through those hoops to get logged in. And your cursor disappearing is REALLY weird! I'm so sorry, I wish I could help with this problem. I do have a few dried cookie crumbs I could send you, if you think those gremlins would eat them? You know they are ALWAYS hungry, but they're picky, too. Good luck, TB!

Hi Tiggerbear,

With sign in. Basically all I could do was log into my account. Never could I get into book clubs.
Went through my normal sign in link off the all discusssions page. Typed in my info, clicked enter nothing, again and nothing, clicked the green bar 4 min delay then sent to sign in to you B&N account address already entered so I type in my password again clicked enter 2 min delay then into account, so I click over to the boook club link 4 mins for the page to load, then I click the sign in link nothing whole page hung up. Had to close the browser. REPEAT 4 times same results. Go elsewhere.
Later that evening when I was able to sign in the same experience but insted of a hang up it did let me sign in on the second try.
I will say it was a 24h glitch I haven't had any difficultly signing in since. And no nothing like that that day on any other site I went to. Frustrating mostly. ![]()
The disappearing cursor, well that's still happening. No error message and I can still post. But just all of a sudden the cursor will up and go away. Typing gets sloggy but still happens. And my right click for cut, copy, paste, ect is unacessable. I've checked my mouse, updated it just in case. It's not all the time either. Only happens in the post window, and goes away if I close it or post. Not every time I open a post window, but every day for 8 days now it'll happen at least once. Only this site too. It's spooky
but get around able. I was just wondering if it was happening to anyone else or if anyone knew why.
