Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

TV vs. Reading vs. Internet

TV, Reading, Internet

So, from the 3 categories provided, how do you divide them according to your schedule? I have listed my choices priority-wise from ascending to descending order:

1.  TV

2.  Internet

3.  Reading

Re: TV vs. Reading vs. Internet

For me internet and reading would be a tie and I don't really watch TV as I'm not a huge fan of most fo the shows that are currently on  (too many reality shows which I hate), not to mention my TV is usually tuned in to Dora the Explorer or The Wonderpets for my 2 year old.

Nevermore1, I know what you mean by too many reality shows on TV.

Yup tie in the Internet and reading department here, too. I don't do TV.

If I feel like a movie, I make a big bowl of popcorn and pop in a DVD. But that's not very often either.

A lifelong reader, now may my life be long enough to catch up on my reading!

Hmm TV/DVD/Streaming and internet; I tend to do at the same time. Books are a separate thing, depending on circumstances.

Help me down the crooked road. Lead me to the light. I'm not sure I know the way but with you beside me, I'm certain we'll make it through.
