I haven't read them, but you should ask over on the fantasy board I'm sure tons of people have over there! Usually, though, the books are always better than the movies! Good Luck!

Has anyone read the books? I loved the movies but I can't help to think that i'm missing a huge piece of information. So I was wondering has anyone read it? Were they good? Did it fill you in any gaps about the stories?
Ah the new one's or the BBC vesions or.. so many movie version of those books.
Going with a small presumption that you mean the newest movies, yeah they leave a lot out. Yes, they are good. Though I have a personal gripe about the final end, I do recomend them. Though I don't really need a fill in, since I read the books long before I saw a screen version. But if that's what you're looking for, go for it. They're not classics for nothing.
