I like my nook which I have had for almost a year but I am not happy about the software support.  My understanding is that Kindle provides better software support and updates.  Apparently BN is not supporting the original nook.  I have made several software improvement suggestion which can definitely enhance the nook but of no avail.  Apparently, the nook people are too busy to take the time and effort to improve the original.  Next purchase will be a Kindle if they don't improve the software support and generate the software improvements which would make the nook a better ereader than it already is. 

It is too bad that they have thrown the original purchasers under the bus.  Too bad for their future sales by old customers because there won't be any.

THANK YOU so very much for such wonderful help in this community of B&N readers!  I'm a recent ebook reader - my kids got me a NOOK for Mothers' Day - and I LOVE IT!

As a VORACIOUS reader, I read 3-4 books each week, and have kept a matrix of all books I've read over the past decade, with my own rating of each book.  Must figure out how to do this with my ebooks.

Looking forward to sharing information and critiques here on B&N.
