Re: What Is Your Favorite.....Soap Opera

There was another 'occult' soap opera, too - Strange Paradise, which was more into reincarnation, possession, and voodoo.  It was made in Canada, but was shown in my area just before Dark Shadows (on a different station).  It wasn't as good, but I watched it while it lasted, which wasn't long.

Those are the only two daytime soaps I've ever watched regularly.

Re: What Is Your Favorite.....Board Game

I've just spent an hour playing my all time favorite board game on line.  It has fun, excitment, and best of all it lets me use my love of words to beat other players into the ground.  Any guesses yet?  Well with no further ado I present my favorite board game of all time.

The were the three my mom watched as well.  All My Children was the only one I kept consistently watching though I'm getting back into One Life to Live again.  General Hospital I gave up on years ago due to the overwhelming mob story seems to have taken over the show.  I have been know to watch it's SoapNet spinoff though, General Hospital: Night Shift.

Ha, Ha, that is too funny! My mom got me started on those good old Soap Operas, too. But only the most Famous three All My Children, One Life to Live, and General Hospital. My favorite out of the three though is General Hospital. I just love Jason he is just sooo Hott:smileysurprised:!

I seen the Night Shift one, too, but only the first season of it.

Yeah, the good things about these Soap Operas is if you get a little board with them you can skip like a week or two, and when you get back to it you'll be able to jump right back in.

They really have been on for a long time now. I watched them beacuse my Mom watched them, and my Mom watched them because her mom, my Mamaw, watched them, and her mom, my Mamaw, watched them because her mom, my Nanna, watched them. Seriously! Crazy, eh? They've been passed down like a good old T-shirt!

Re: What Is Your Favorite.....Board Game

I've had many board games over the years that I have enjoyed.  When I was little, I had Candyland and Uncle Wiggily.  Then for a long time, my favorites were The Game of Life and Clue.  I guess now my favorites would be Risk and Trivial Pursuit.  They also let me beat my opponents into the ground, but in different ways!

(I managed to find the box style I actually had/have for all of them, although I'm not sure about Uncle Wiggily.  Clue is probably the oldest one that I still have; I thought I still had Life, but I can't find it.)

Re: What Is Your Favorite....Board Game

My Number one would have to be Catch Phrase. You should see my family play Catch Phrase (this is the one we use), we go crazy. Seriously. My Dad especially, he gets so excited and is so loud, he's one of those people who has to win or try his best to do so anyway. But it's just so much fun to play with a group of people. Then there are those players that you can't understand anything they're trying to explain (my brothers Girl friend would be one of those), and you just hate when their on your team, because no matter what, it always gets stuck on them!

Re: What Is Your Favorite.....Board Game

Dulcinea,

I just looked through my board games and I have Clue, Candyland, and the Game of Life as well.    Those are all fun to play and I was obssesed at one point in my childhood with Clue.

I also have Cranium, Word Spot, Monopoly, Sorry, Vampire Hunter, Yahtzee, Battleship, and a really cool DVD game that has Press Your Luck, Let's Make a Deal, and Family Feud.

The games I want to buy still are Trivial Pursuit, Scattegories, and Risk.

Ryan,

Does your Life still have all the plastic buildings?  I remember they used to slip out or get broken sometimes - it was unusual to have that three-dimensional aspect to a board game!

We had Monopoly in our family, but I was pretty sure that it belonged to my brother, so I didn't take it when I moved out.  I finally have a variant on it called 'Boston in a Box'.  We never had Scrabble, but I used to have an easy version called Scrabble Junior.  I never had Sorry, but I enjoyed playing that with friends who did.  I have an I Love Lucy board game, too!  I had a regular Yahtzee set when I was younger, but now I have a 'travel' set - I kind of like to get the small, travel versions - others that I have include Othello and, yes, Scrabble!

Yipper skippers, they still have the buildings.  That was always one of my favorite aspects of that game as well.

What Is Your Favorite.....Color

I was getting dressed for work today and I realized I need to branch out in my color selections for clothes.  I have always gravitated towards anything blue. Blue has always been my favorite color, I just can't help it.  Clothes, toweles, sheets, shoes, dishes, whatever else if it comes in a shade of blue I will tend to go for that option.  So there you go my favorite color is blue.  Here is the wikipedia entry for the color blue.

Re: What Is Your Favorite.....Color

My favorite color is red!  When I was a kid, it was red, then when I was a preteen and teenager it was pink and purple, and then I reverted back to red.
