Re: What are your favorite short stories?

Is it trite to answer The Lottery by Shirley Jackson?  I also enjoy Stephen King's The Long Walk.

(I promise, I'm not obssessed with teenagers dying...)

Re: What are your favorite short stories?

To be honest I write stories that are just what I like to read, so my favorites are my own work. Here are a few of my favorites.

"Sherlock Holmes And The Napped Children" British crime, Classical, Sherlock Holmes.

"Golden Showers Stories by Phyllis" Mature, Urolagnia, Humorous.

"HEROIN God's Own Medicine Two" Horror, Addiction. Not for the squeamish.

Re: What are your favorite short stories?

Hard to pick favorites but here are 5 that I enjoyed immensely -- enough to reread periodically. "Requiem" by Robert A. Heinlein "Who Goes There?" by John W. Campbell "Marooned off Vesta" by Isaac Asimov "The Cold Equations" by Tom Godwin "The Ransom of Red Chief" by O. Henry
