Goodness, these days there are all sort of Twilight type books to help you fight that urge. The House of Night series, Vampire Kisses series, Vampire Diaries series, Vampire Academy series, Morganville Vampires, quite a lot.

 

There are also more science fiction/suspense/YA type books too.
