Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Re: book clubs

I'm also looking but I'm in South Carolina!  If you would like we could see if we could have a bookclub via internet...

I'm interested in joining a book club in Fort Worth, TX. I would be interested in an internet book club. If you start one, include me.

Re: book clubs

If you guys are looking for internet book clubs...  you've just found some! :smileyhappy:

Take a look around at the various boards we have here, there are a lot of great book discussions going on right now.  Many of our boards are dedicated to a particular genre and the users here read through a book together every month.  Some of these boards have authors visit regularly, and some of them cover a wider variety of topics.

If there's a book you'd like to talk about, but you don't see anyone discussing it here yet, please feel free to start up a discussion on it in the relevant genre board!

Hi, momof5tlmns,

Most Barnes & Noble stores across the nation have regularly scheduled book book clubs that are open to newcomers.

In most cases (but probably not all!), those discussions are listed on the store events calendar here at barnesandnoble.com. It's always best to call the store to confirm the schedule -- and to see if there are other events that might not be listed yet.

Good luck!
