I submitted a respone to a post today which stated that I was put off the Mickey Spillane/Mike Hammer series because I thought the Stacy Keach portrayal of the character was a poor one and seeing it growing up It gave me a bad taste in my mouth.
Have any of you experience this? Have bad movies/Tv shows made it difficult to enjoy a great series?
Recently I was tempted to watch Burgler since I was reading the series by Lawrence Block and since I heard it was soo bad I decided not to. After I read the first 3 books I gave it a whirl and decided that I was right in waiting. It was in fact quite terrible. What a waste of a great character!
