Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Noticed a pattern... (and Breaking Dawn theory)

I didn't think of it, a fan on the imdb boards did, but I thought ya'll might like to hear, too.

Emette was mauled by a bear (saved by his future lover). Bella was mauled by a vampire (saved by her current lover).
Rosalie was cornered and raped. Bella nearly was too.
Esme jumped off a cliff, and so did Bella.

Plus, if you really want to stretch it, Jasper's got the vamp bite scars, and Bella has one of those too.

Spooky, hm?

Me thinks that the Crazy House is next XD

But this also brings up another good Breaking Dawn theory-- about the contract between the Leeches and Dogs, and how Bella is going to become vamped-out. Carlisle was chomped down on by some random, hungry (thirsty?) vampires... So if some random, hungry/thirsty vampire was to bite Bella, then the contract wouldn't be broken, Bella would be a vamp, and Edward wouldn't have to blame himself for being the one to send her through 3 days of torture. Of course, this ruins the whole meaning behind the marraige, so it's really a win-win for Edward, and a lose-lose for Bella D:

(And, mini-note, I think Bella will still have her current power when/if she goes vamp, but perhaps more advanced... Like, maybe blocking physical powers too, or behind able to send the power back at the user?)

You know what I noticed?
Every book Bella goes away somewhere for 3 days.
Maybe thats foreshadowing for the 3 days when she will become a vampire in Breaking Dawn.

Re: Noticed a pattern... (and Breaking Dawn theory)

It is all really interesting when you think about it and how everything is connected...

It's just really strange how things pan out in the books, there has got to be a connection with everything and hopefully it will tie it up in Breaking Dawn, there are so many possibilities and things that can happen.

Go Team Edward!

New Theory.
I think the the red pawn could be the Volturi.
I think this because it red and that could represent evil.
And Bella is the White Queen.
I also think that it could be her old self and new vampire self
Just pick what one you think and tell me

I think that the the white piece stands for Edward because he is all pale and because he is who Bella chose (for now), therefore he stands in front of the red pond, who is Jacob (red cuz he is so hot:smileywink:) and is "waiting in the wings"

~frequently dazzled~ (by a man that's not mine)

[ Edited ]

Notice that Bella - human - was pale similar to vampires?

That she smelled blood when she was human?

Had a special ability to keep people out of her mind?
