I know! That scene in the tent was unreal! I could not believe when reading it the amount of self control Edward has; again and again he is tested with that self control in so many different ways!!!
At the risk of sounding really dumb, was that really Edward's voice that she was hearing in book 2? I was very confused by that whole plotline...

Honestly, I loved the second book--stepehnie herself even said to re-read new moon after you finish it. I had to do the same thing because I (along with many other fans) sped right through new moon until we hit a "Vampire" spot (aka Alice). I think if you re-read new moon, that's when you come to love Jacob even more.
Honestly, I'm not sure which one I like more. :] They are all very different and tell very different stories.
